Subject: [mobile-society] Doctoral positions, Open University of Catalonia

Dear colleagues,

Please, find below a call for submissions for applications for doctoral
students.

I would like to highlight 2 specific research lines linked to mobilities as
a part of the  “Mobile Communication, Economy and Society” research
program.
a) The study of the processes of acceptance, or rejection, of mobile
telephony among senior population in developed countries, mainly but not
exclusively Europe.
b) The study of the contribution of mobile communication to social and
economic development mainly in poorer areas, mainly but not exclusively
Latin America.

Links to these areas can be found in the section "Network Society".
However, many of the other areas listed may be of interest to students in
Communications and Media Studies.

Regards,
Dr. Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol
co-director research program "Mobile Communication, Economy and Society"
