Thu, Dec 23, 2004 3:25 AM

Effective 010001Z Jan 05, the U.S. Coast Guard will change the radio
frequencies used for initial single sideband voice contact with its long range
communications facilities as follows:

Current Ship / Shore    New Ship / Shore
4134 / 4426    4125 / 4125
6200 / 6501      6215 / 6215
8240 / 8764    8291 / 8291
12242 / 13089  12290 / 12290

Frequencies are carrier frequencies and in kilohertz.
Use is authorized for initial contact and distress traffic only.

Notice that all of these new frequencies are the old standards ITU numbers,
450, 650, 850, 1250.
And that these are SIMPLEX, where the old ones were DUPLEX channels.
