10/20  I visited my usual 3 local ponds in Orange.
At Old Tavern Rd recreation area the small pond was quiet except for a
Great Blue Heron, a few common birds.
At Racebrook Business park pond, the lily pad invasion is subsiding so more
waterfowl were out-32 Mallards, 1 Canada Goose calling in the middle of the
pond, a Red shouldered hawk sitting in a tree along pond edge, an estimate
of 65 starlings, 3 Mourning doves, 1 Chickadee, 2 Song sparrows and one
Brown headed Cowbird.
At Indian lake (primary and secondary ponds)  Canada Geese ....total of 73,
with yellow neck  banded -HO 20 and HO 38 continuing (banded by Min
Huang),  3 Mute Swans, 16 Wood ducks at secondary pond along with 15
Mallards, 5 Blue jays, 2 Carolina Wrens, 2 Mockingbirds, 1 Red bellied
woodpecker, 28 Robins on residential lawn and 10 Mourning doves.
