Stephen, Ladies and Gentlemen,

SNIP

I can tell you that cats cannot be steered with one engine.

COMMENT

I can report that Crackerjack, a Maine Cat P-47 steers quite well with one engine running and the other freewheeling.  Her beam is 18'2" ,(less than some other powercats) loaded displacement about 30,000lbs and LOA of 47'3" .  The Garmin autopilot handles it well with one engine also.  Very slow speed maneuvering is a bit tricky however.

Steering a PDQ on a single engine is no problem.  As a matter of fact, if
you turn of an engine and go 6 knots, you can improve your fuel mileage to
8-10 nmpg.  Docking must be done very slowly, but it is entirely doable.
