Hi folks,

I'm sorry I wasn't able to rejoin the meeting after lunch. Just way too
much going on today!

Following up with a few items as promised. First, on timing: We expect the
House to vote on the HEROES Act on Friday. With the Democrats in control of
the House, it will pass. That shifts the focus to the Senate for
organizing/advocacy. Watch for more from NSC on this front very soon.

Here's the list of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers from the April
2020 DHS memo. The actual list starts on page 5.

Finally, on acronyms per Tom's request:
CARES Act - big $2 trillion COVID relief bill passed by Congress in March

RAWA

Relaunching America's Workforce Act; $15 billion workforce bill including
$1B for AEFLA supported by 49 House Dems but *NOT *included in recent
omnibus legislation

HEROES Act

  • omnibus $3 trillion COVID relief bill introduced by House Dems yesterday;
    vote expected this Friday 5/15.
