Creative Colloquy was founded in February of 2014 with the intention of fostering relationships built upon the mutual admiration of the written word and providing a platform to highlight literary talent in the South Sound.

OUR MISSION: Creative Colloquy fosters the writing community in the South Sound through unique literary events and publications.

CC is seeking members to join its Editorial Board, alongside the Managing editor. Responsibilities of the board include:

• Reviewing pieces: Review of submissions on the Submittable site is expected to be done twice a week. If an editor is unable to maintain this schedule or will be out-of-town for an extended period, we request that you notify the Managing Editor or our Founder, Jackie Casella.
• Editing: While the Managing Editor will perform basic copyediting for monthly submissions, assistance may be requested on edit-heavy pieces. Pieces may also be assigned for projects outside of our monthly publication.
• Monthly Deadlines: Completion of all voting and edits for monthly submissions will be due by midnight on the last day of the month, so that the lineup may be finalized at the beginning of the month in which it will be published.
• Meetings: Attendance is expected at three meetings per annum – at the beginning of the year, mid-year (summer), and for anthology selections in the fall. These meetings will take place in the Tacoma area, with a date and time chosen to be the most convenient for the greatest number of editors.
Anthology-Specific Duties:

• Will provide votes and reviews on regular schedule, but with special attention to deadlines.
• Will take ownership of assigned submissions that have been approved for the anthology, providing basic copy-editing and communication with the author.

If you are interested in joining our team of authors and bibliophiles, please submit a cover letter detailing any relevant credentials and expressing why you would be interested in joining the Editorial Board to Jackie.d.fender@gmail.com.
