Subject: [TacomaArt] Amanda Palmer at Temple Theatre on 4/15
Hello Tacoma Arts Community!

My name is Wes and I am with Monqui Presents, and we're excited to bring
Amanda Palmer to the Temple Theatre in a little over 2 weeks.

Amanda Palmer is a singer, pianist, ukulele-ist, best-selling author,
world-famous crowd-funder, and activist who simultaneously embraces and
explodes traditional frameworks of music, theatre, and art. She first came
to prominence as part of the punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls, earning
global applause for their inventive songcraft and wide-ranging
theatricality.

April this year will see Amanda present her only solo shows for this year,
three cities only, as she now turns her focus to creating the new Dresden
Dolls record with drummer Brian Viglione.

"An Evening with Amanda Palmer" will be a intimate, irreverent, and
raucous night of old favorites and new songs that Palmer is workshopping
for the upcoming Dolls' record, reflections and stories from Palmer's two
recent years stuck in New Zealand during the pandemic, and the usual
surprises that make every Amanda Palmer show a unique circus of feelings.

If you are interested in attending, please take a look at
https://templeconcerts.com/ for more information.

Best wishes,
Wes at Monqui

Subject: [TacomaArt] Call for Mural Artists @KNKX Radio
Hello!

I am reaching out to share with you an exciting artist opportunity that I
am facilitating for KNKX radio. To inaugurate the opening of their new Pike
Place Market Station they are seeking two artists to create murals that
visualize the station’s mission to
deliver jazz, blues, and news that inspire, enlighten, and connect our
community.

This opportunity is open to established and early career artists with the
skill and interest to create large-scale paintings in Seattle, Washington,
during June-July 2023.

KNKX’s roots in the Pacific Northwest run deep, with a history of bringing
jazz, blues, news, and regional storytelling to our region for over 50
years. The new location reflects their commitment to continuing this legacy
and the on-site artwork should also reflect one or more of these elements.
Artists should also be able to convey a strong connection to Seattle and/or
the Puget Sound region during the application process.

Full details, including compensation and the selection process, are
included in the attached PDF and at this link:
https://tinyurl.com/33wf7fj2. Interested artists are invited to submit
qualifications by EOD April 17.

The call will be live on the KNKX website at the end of the week, however,
I wanted to share this release with you early in case you or anyone you
know might be interested. Feel free to direct any questions my way at this
email address or murals@knkx.org.

Thanks for sharing!
Kate Fernandez
