Just to clarify, since it is not clear to me from the wireframes:
Suppose I search on children, find none, select "Create New From Existing".
Is there no "Save" or "Confirm" dialog? As soon as I click, it will
create/save that new record, right? Will it also save a relationship to the
current record? Or is the relationship only saved once I click "Save" on the
current record?
If I do the above, and then click Cancel on the current record, does
anything happen? E.g., does it delete the just-created relationship
(assuming that "Create New From Existing" also creates a relationship,
above)? I assume that as for termCompletion in authorities, a newly created
term is created and you cannot undo that.
For termCompletion of child and parent cataloging records, is the field
static (i.e., predefined and fixed) or is it configurable? Will we enforce
any constraints on which field it can be? Could it be in an extension
schema?
Thanks - Patrick

Patrick -
Excellent questions. I have been modeling the interaction for structured
objects on that of vocabulary terms - especially if we're using the same
interface, I think users will expect the same behavior. So:
