Musical Fairy Tales

We express our deepest respect and gratitude to our indigenous
neighbors. We're deeply moved and draw inspiration from the fact that we
can make music surrounded by the ancestral homelands of the Swinomish,
Coast Salish, Samish, Lummi, Nooksack, Chimacum, Duwamish, Snohomish,
Stillaguamish and Skagit and other Peoples, who have cared for these
lands and waterways for so long.

The President Sang Amazing Grace: Meklit and the Kronos Quartet (Oct 22,
2020)

The President broke out in song! In their moving tribute Meklit and the
Kronos Quartet make evident that his and all music is a language of the
spirit that illuminates the empathy and compassion and love that
permeate our endeavors, in the work place and at home. Music is caring
and sharing. (The President sang Amazing Grace here
https://youtu.be/IN05jVNBs64.)

Thanks to the generosity of our donors we were able to provide the
performers we heard earlier this year and all of those whose concerts
with us were cancelled with a Covid-19 bonus, as professional free-lance
musicians lost the majority of their work. We have no administrative
expenses, and the remainder of our 2020 funds are earmarked for a very
special set of musical celebrations when we are finally able to safely
meet in person, particularly with those of our music-loving community
who have no computer and no email.

We're looking forward to a year of musical adventure! ...beginning with
this third Fantasia by Giovanni Bassano for three instruments. Without
subjecting musicians to travel and rehearsals together, we have plans
for a colorful and unusual series of online programs, available at home
and at every hour. There is much more to come and we'll appreciate
having you along!   - Jeffrey
