Is it possible to enlighten the community on what those legal issues are? According to one resident, it was initially established as an emergency exit (that would have been over 10 years ago when there was no need for a second exit) and was closed because of someone’s complaints. If the roads around our community are being modified, why is it so hard to modify the designation of the gate from an emergency exit to a permanent exit only gate? I get that this means more traffic for the community next to us, but we are all dealing with that because of growth. Who is our attorney working with to resolve this? Just COSA? Is it COSAs jurisdiction because we are an ETJ? Wasn’t our attorney meeting with the COSS attorney? What was the outcome of that meeting? I’m assuming it is a county maintained road. What about finding someone in the county to work with us? Does our attorney believe that this will ultimately be resolved in our favor? In other words is there a process for changing an emergency exit to a permanent exit?
