Message:

Hi to all Loopers spending the Summer of 2013 on the Chesapeake Bay.

We (John and Judy Gill) are the AGLCA Harbor Hosts for the Northern
Chesapeake Bay (from the bridge between Kent Island and Annapolis and North
to Chesapeake City on the C&D Canal).

We understand that several of you are interested in a mini-Rendezvous
during July, August or September.

There are two possibilities for get-to-gethers on the Bay this Summer:

(1)  Northern Bay.  23 to 25 August.  On Saturday, August 24th,
we have made tentative reservations to use the Activities Center at the
Sassafras Harbor Marina on the Sassafras River in Georgetown, MD from 4:00

PM 9:30 PM/  The marina has excellent facilities to host a rendezvous -
floating docks, large activities center, nice pool, marine store and gift
shop, a restaurant on premisis and catered dinners in the large 2nd Floor
Activities Center.  It is also within walking distance of the Kitty Knight

House across the river at Georgetown Yacht Basin with 10 + guest rooms and

a good restaurant and an ice cream parlor.  There is also  another new
restaurant a short walk away.  The marina web site is:
<http://www.sassafrasharbormarina.com/.  Please contact John and Judy Gill

if you are interested in attending this get together.

We can also make some recommendations regarding over-wintering on the
Chesapeake Bay for those who wish to do so on the Bay and be ready to
continue on the Loop from the Northern Bay after Memorial Day or a bit
sooner.

For information on Chesapeake Bay Ports of Call, check out our "Chesapeake
Bay Ports of Call" article in the ARTICLES section of our website (website
address below).

(2) July 15th to July 18th Southern part of the Bay.  Those who wish to
remain in the Southern Bay, should contact Jim and Vaughn Quince (eMail
address below) who have offered to host a mini-Looper Rendezvous at the
Corinthian Yacht Club near the Potomac River.
