Boss Boats

I purchased a Boss Boat 8.5 Yachtsman less than 4 years ago as a
dinghy. They
have a 10 year warranty. One of the latches broke on a
storage locker and I
contacted the company for a replacement. They
said the company had changed
hands recently and they are not going to
honor any existing warranties.
Essentially they said "you're on your
own."

I would not purchase any of their
products again.

Now it all makes sense!  At the Seattle boat show I walked by the Boss Boats
booth at least a dozen times (went to the show 4 days).  Every single time I
went by their boot it was empty.  I mean empty.  I was a bit surprised
because my perception was a few years ago they were the hot thing in town.
After hearing from a number of list members it appears this is a company and
product that has really screwed itself.  Too Bad, seemed like a good idea at
the time.
