To All - Here are the first results of the season. Yes! The wind came up from the south at a lovely 8 - 10. We welcomed Charlie Brieant from Shattemuc in his 1979 Tartan 10 Zoom. Both Charlie and Eric Baumes decided to race non-spinnaker. Gary Tenenbaum, as Race Committee PRO, used a shotgun for the line honors cruising boat. So the first boat to cross the finish line (Hee Soo) and the winning boat on corrected time (Journey) will both receive shotgun shells with the date written on them. Thanks, Gary. Let's hope this starts a fun tradition on Sundays. Thanks also to the rest of the gang on the Race Committee (Bill Mann, Cindy Cox, Rachel Yannelli, and Howie Rinehart) and to those in the Race Patrol boats (Harry Juris, Tony Martin, Katie Whise, Chris Preftes, and Gary Schneidman). Thanks Lee and Gary. I am all for the shotgun! It took me years to get my first one (for line honors) and it definitely beats the air horn.
