Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 11:00:00
Total observation time: 4 hours
Official Counter: Tom Bolohan
Observers: Ernie Gribble, Keith Sealy
Visitors:
Thanks to Tom B for doing today's count along with Keith S and Ernie G.
Weather:
Light NE winds till they died out just after noon ending the flight. Cloud
cover was variable from 40% to start then building to 80% before completely
disappearing just after noon. Humidity continued to be more comfortable as
over the past several days.
Raptor Observations:
Not a bad flight over the course of the 4 hour count period with a total of
326 tallied.... mostly BWs(278) along with Osprey (4), a lone Bald Eagle,
N. Harriers (13), a few Sharpies (6) and a single Cooper's Hawk and Am.
Kestrels (23).
Non-raptor Observations:
Nothing reported today.
Predictions:
We're not expecting much of a flight at the hawk watch tomorrow on moderate
SE and S winds as this pushes the flight (if there's a flight at all)
inland away from the lake shore.
