I don’t know anything other than what is being reported in the press, but just so you are prepared, here is a quick summary: A vote in the House on the 12 appropriations bills is expected Tuesday, which makes sense, as that gives the Senate time to vote on it. I don’t know exactly what form this is going to take — if it’s one big package, or split into two bills (which CEF thought last Thursday might still be the case). Perhaps someone else on this list knows. Anyway, if there is a vote Tuesday, presumably we’ll see something with the amount for specific programs very soon. Tonight? Tomorrow? It looks like there will be two packages voted on tomorrow in the House: Defense, Homeland Security, Commerce-Justice-Science and Financial Services, followed by Agriculture-FDA, Labor-HHS-Education, Energy-Water, Interior-Environment, State-Foreign Operations, Transportation-HUD, Military Construction-VA and Legislative Branch. Rumor has it that the bill text could come out today somewhere around noontime.
