Shorelines for Real Estate Professionals

Washington State University Extension and the Pierce Conservation
District are offering a Shorelines class for Real Estate Professionals
on Monday, February 6th from 8:30-4:30 at the Gig Harbor Boys & Girls
Club (8502 Skansie Ave., Gig Harbor).  The course is accredited for all
real estate professionals, including appraisers, for 7.5 clock hours.
The general public is also welcome to attend.

Learn about landslide warning signs, natural beach processes, coastal
geology, bulkheads, alternatives to bulkheads, bluff stabilization and
shoreline protection.  Other topics include regulations affecting
shoreline land use, and the role of shoreline consultants.  A field trip
to a shoreline site will highlight classroom presentations.

Registration fee, which includes lunch, resource binder and clock hour
certificate, is $95 for 7.5 clock hours. There is a $25 rebate for
Pierce and Kitsap realtors. For registration information please contact
