Last nite I had one heck of an adventure.  I was deck crew on Tug 8th Sea
in Waterford, and our job was to tow the fireworks barge out to the harbor
and anchor it.  We stayed attached during the show, and it was truely a
case of all hell broke loose.

Everything went off as planned, but being just 10-20 feet from the
explosives was amazing.  We got pelted continuously with flaming debris.
The towlines caught fire, a tarp caught fire, everybody's clothes got holes
in them.  Flying dirt and debris was everywhere and the air was awful with
the black powder smoke.

I had planned to photo the fireworks, but instead I photoed the barge and
what was going on there.  Absolutely incredible.

The view from the back of the tug:

And the view from the front of the tug:

Absolutely stunning!
