The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on Thursday is proposing a rule that would restrict the ability of states to exempt work-eligible adults from having to obtain steady employment to receive food stamps.

The move comes just weeks after lawmakers passed a $400 billion farm bill that reauthorized agriculture and conservation programs while leaving the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which serves roughly 40 million Americans, virtually untouched.

...

Secretary Perdue said the proposed rule is a tradeoff for Mr. Trump's support of the farm bill. (my emphasis)

Sure was Jeff.    Is it likely to stand up to any court appeal?    Any action you suggest from Coalition or members Jeff?

Peter, it looks likely that the proposed rule will be posted for comments, so we can all plan to weigh in.
