Hello,
I am new to the "club".
I have a GPSDO purchased on eBay and am waiting for an "FA-3 3G" Frequency
Counter to arrive from China.
The GPSDO has been running for weeks by now and the display shows
frequencies in the range 9999999.9997Hz - 10000000.0003Hz.
Is this normal and acceptable?
There is a RS-232 connector on the GPSDO and a USB connector on the Counter.
Question: Is there a way to record/plot the GPSDO frequency stability,
maybe with "TimeLab"?
I wonder if it's possible to read-out and save that data from the GPSDO
and/or the "FA-3 3G" counter.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a manual for the "FA-3 3G" on the internet.
Any comment/help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Robert
hello Robert,
Although this is somewhat a "shot in the dark" you might want to try the Lady Heather program to see if this GPSDO is compatible with it. You can find LH (common shorthand) at http://www.ke5fx.com/heather/readme.htm If this were my GPSDO, I would first have a look inside, maybe it uses a surplus module, not uncommon for GPSDO from China.
best,
Wilko
