GESIS -- Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences is an internationally
active institute belonging to the Leibniz Association, funded by the
German Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal States.
For its "European Data Laboratory for Comparative Social Research"
(EUROLAB) in the department "Data Archive for the Social Sciences" GESIS
is seeking to employ for the site in Colognea
Postdoctoral researcher
(salary group 13 TV-L, full time)
The initial appointment will be for two years, starting as soon as
possible.
Areas of responsibility include:
own scientific high level research in quantitative comparative social
research, publishing activities
actively contribute to all activities of the EUROLAB
representation of GESIS and EUROLAB at relevant conferences
As the ideal candidate you will have the following skills:
have completed your PhD in a relevant subject
have an active research profile in internationally comparative analysis
excellent understanding of social science survey data and additional
research data
experience in international cooperation and organizing workshops or
conferences
good communicator, team player, flexible, able to work under pressure
sound command of written and spoken English

sufficient working knowledge of the German language will be acquired
shortly thereafter.
