Georgs, Apologies for previous posting without signature.
Steve Ellis builds these along with a newer 36'.
The local press and fisher people love these boats.
The 26'3" is unique because of it's folding transom.
Draft @ 13" is impressive for a boat this size.
The 36' is beautiful albeit pricey.
Small operation with high quality control.
I'm sure Steve has more insights should you wish to contact him.

Regards, Scott Clark

Hey, Steve!

I'm not a fisherman and don't know much about small fishing cats, but
what the heck makes one unique and better than the others?

Not a trick question. Just hoping I and others can learn something.

A little larger than your parameters but worth a look. Unique boat,
very
popular Florida west coast (where they are built). Works in both
worlds
3' seas, skinny water, light weight tows easy.
Folding transom allows easy access for diving/swimming and boating big
fish.
Single or twin outboard.

Calcutta
26'3"
8'6" beam
2800 lbs.
13" draft
