*Creative Colloquy presents Write What You Notice with Tiffany Aldrich

Extending the standard advice to “write what you know,” this workshop
emphasizes the importance of curiosity and observation to the craft of
writing. Participants will consider the creative potential of the ordinary
and the unfamiliar, and, through writing and conversation, will tease out
meanings that reside in the details. The workshop takes creative nonfiction
as its focus, but the concepts and practices apply across genres.

*ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: *
Tiffany Aldrich MacBain is a professor of English at the University of
Puget Sound, where she teaches writing and literary analysis. Her creative
nonfiction and published scholarship reflect her interest in finding the
remarkable stories in everyday life.
