The Tacoma Arts Commission is now accepting applications for two fall 2026 events: the Tacoma Studio Tour and Arts at the Armory. There is no fee to apply and/or participate. You only need to submit one application to be considered for either or both events.
Tacoma Studio Tour | October 17 + 18, 2026
The Tacoma Studio Tour offers a rare chance to open your Tacoma-based working space to the public, share your process, and connect directly with the community. The tour emphasizes raising awareness of artists and creatives and providing opportunities for the community to experience creativity where it's made.
Studios open across the city for two days of free, self-guided exploration. Artists can choose to participate on Saturday, Sunday, or both days. You do not need a formal studio to participate. A community space, library room, or borrowed workspace can qualify if your setup reflects your active practice and allows visitors to engage with how you make your work.
Arts at the Armory | November 14 + 15, 2026
We’re proud to be partnering with Tacoma Arts Live to host the 6th annual Arts at the Armory held inside the historic Tacoma Armory (1001 S. Yakima Ave).
Participating artists and creatives are assigned up to a 10’x10’ space to share or sell their work and connect with collectors, community members, and fellow creatives at this arts market. Table and chair are available upon request. No demonstration or interactive activity is required. No commission is taken on sales.
Eligibility
Applicants must live within Tacoma city limits or maintain a regular studio or working space within Tacoma city limits. All work must be created, performed, and/or made by you. Commercially acquired, appropriated, or AI-generated work is not eligible.
Artists and creatives who identify as members of BBIPOC or ALAANA communities, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disabilities, and economically or socio-economically marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
You can apply for both events with one application.
Application deadline: Monday, June 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM
