We're please to announce that next week, Tuesday, November 19th at 7 pm in BHS Room 104 we will be hosting a reading and conversation with Sasha LaPointe, a Coast Salish writer from the Nooksack and Upper Skagit tribes. Her forthcoming memoir RED PAINT is a story of resilience through lineage as she finds strength and healing in the stories of her ancestors.

Sasha LaPointe holds a double MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts with a focus on nonfiction and poetry. She is a resident of Tacoma and was recently awarded a TAIP grant from the city's Arts Commission to support her work on the project.

A flier for the event is attached.  This event is free and open to the public.
