Lee,
I’m trying to picture this with my AC system. I have one pump connected to strainer for two of my AC units, salon and one Unit the forward cabins so one discharge at port forward and one discharge at starboard aft quarter. Are you pumping water through the system gradually picking up the powder and discharging or are you recirculating it and not letting it go overboard?

Eddie,

What I have is a series of pipes that provided sea water topside. I use these to create a recirculation loop. My sea water pump provides the flow.

When LeeZe was built, I had all overboard discharge ports tapped to take a garden hose connection. The threads are protected with stainless steel open see-thru nuts keyed to a #10 Allen key.

That is how I loop my AC water with my AC sea water pump

BUT, I have helped others just by sticking a garden hose into the AC port, sika-flexing it in place, waiting until the following morning, and the loop the water, my guesstimate is that 90-95% is recirculated.

Hope this helps

Lee
