No. I don't have enough experience to make that recommendation, but it
doesn't appear that would be the right choice, at least not from Beaufort. Once in
the Caribbean, you'd be heading directly into the trades, which are a bit
south of east at that time of year.
Bob Austin, whom I consulted regarding my route, would be a better person to
ask. Virgin Gorda will likely be my destination, as St Martin involves
crossing the Sombrero, or Anegada, Passage, which can be rough.
