BUY, SELL AND TRADE TRAWLERS AND TRAWLERING GEAR
View all threadsPutting up for adoption is our 26 outer reef trawler built in 1979 in
Palmetto FL.
She is 26 ft long with a 9 ft beam, weighs around 10,000 lbs, she is powered
by a 40hp Isuzu diesel that was rebuilt when we bought her and had 22 hours
on the engine at that time, She now has 665 as of Sunday when we had her
out.
The hull was sandblasted from the caprail to the keel and sealed and primed
and painted with 1 coat of 2 part sealer and 3 coats of primer and 2 coats
of bottom paint last October and 1 coat of sealer and 3 coats of primer and
5 coats of Awlgrip on the hullsides, we sanded the entire deck and house and
Awlgriped the deck and the house from the caprail to the top of the fake
smoke stack which is storage, by the way.
We had new white window covers made for ALL of the windows and hatches about
a year ago. She has a propane stove, refrigerator, a 6 gallon electric hot
water heater with a heat exchanger and a 12,000 btu marine air air
conditioning unit installed but not fully plumbed yet. The air conditioning
works great but the vents are not installed. I installed an aft cockpit
hot/cold shower 2 years ago and it works great, ( just used on sunday )
There is a head with a warm water shower, a 5 gallon blackwater tank with
deck pumpout or overboard discharge, a 53 gallon freshwater tank and 2 60
gallon fuel tanks, please be aware 1 of the fuel tanks has a leak so really
60 gallon fuel capacity at this time.
She burns 1 gallon per hour at a 6.5 knot cruise and a 7.0 to 10 knot wot
depending on which way the tide is flowing
I replaced all of the freshwater plumbing with Whale Products so everything
is quick disconnect, there is a Norcold ac/dc refrigerator that works
fantastic ( this weekend), a princess propane stove that works great
underway or when you make port. All new carpet in January of this year,
The bottom was painted with interlux and the prop and rudder covered with
propspeed last fall and is in great condition as of this past weekend, we
replaced the prop shaft, coupler, cutlass bearing and had a custom made
stainless rudder built when we bought her in 2003 and the cutlass bearing
was replaced this last October at Apex Marine in Ft. Lauderdale along with
all fluids in the engine and transmission.
She has 30ft of polished stainless chain and a 30lb polished stainless
anchor for ground tackle, no windlass and tons of spare parts to keep you
safe. She has a Garmin GPS Map 198-C Sounder that works great. No autopilot.
Please call 239-784-6211 for more information and pictures, we are asking
$24,900
