Thoughts about the vandalism

Hi all

I have been thinking about the comments of the teens and also our thoughts about the person suspected of the vandalism.

First, I do think it would be valuable to call the sheriff's office to have the problem documented. I did that yesterday.  The dispatcher listened to my concern and found the gate on her map.  She then told me an officer would return my call which he did within a couple of hours.  He was very nice. Do save any nails as that may be important, particularly if the nails are the same type.

Secondly, the perpetrator could be someone other than the man we are concerned about.  I don't know, but it might be of value to have one of our board members reach out to a representative from their neighborhood to see if we can stop the vandalism before someone ends up in jail. Having multiple reports of vandalism is not good for their property values either.

Finally, and obviously, this is not a behavior that is acceptable and we do not want it to escalate.  We are lucky to have a great board we can depend on to help us.
