Why do we play boulder twice but everyone else once?

I know the Mines coach, he said they'd be up for a D3 match if we're both open.

Because Boulder and the Highlanders (who we also play twice) are in our D2
pool. We play the other teams in our D2 pool twice, and the D2 teams not in
our pool once.
