Educators - Last chance to sign up for Educator Night at the Museum, October 6, 2015, 5:30 to 8:00 PM! The Foss Waterway Seaport is proud to host Educator Night at the Museum this year! Teachers, administrators, homeschool instructors and university students, don't miss this exciting educational event! (Educator Invitation <http://www.fosswaterwayseaport.org/sites/default/files/EducatorFlyer_2015_0.pdf>) Educator Night at the Museum is an excellent opportunity for area educators to relax and mingle while learning more about the resources and programs offered by prominent organizations in the Puget Sound area. Discover engaging, innovative, standards-based ways to bring the arts, social studies, science and other subjects into your classroom, as well as ways to bring your students out into the community! Local community experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide information great for curriculum integration. Curriculum ideas will be available as well as other great take aways. (Be sure to bring your own bag to carry your treasures home.) Fantastic raffle prizes from each participating organization will be offered. Please join us! Enjoy the exhibits at the Foss Waterway Seaport (see our Fin Whale skull, marine debris sculptures made as part of a 2015 pilot program, our many heritage boats and so much more), while talking to all the community partners throughout the evening. Light appetizers prepared by our featured caterer, Picasso Catering, and a beer/wine/soft drink/water will be available. The Seaport has purchased the use of the Republic Parking Lot north of our building, so there will be free parking for all. Please note - the Foss Waterway Seaport will be giving away to one lucky 5th-12th grade educator one boat-based education program.
