The imminent demise of the T&T Digest leaves many of us without a source for answers to boat problems. There is an alternative. The Marine Trawler Owners Association (MTOA) has a very active list serve to answer those questions. Don't let the name fool you. MTOA is a 30-year-old world-wide organization with many types of boats, from small flat boats, pontoons, sailboats, go-fast and of course trawlers. The dues are only $65 per family per year. With 2500 members, the group is very active year around with national rendezvous, local get togethers, quarterly magazine, and a nationwide network of port captains to help cruisers.
