Cartography, Navionics?

Is anyone using Navionics cartography for Mexico, Central America or the Caribbean?  I'm researching the cartography requirements for my voyage and find huge price differences between C-Map, Passport Charts (Nobeltec), Maptech and Navionics.  An example, a collection of digital charts from Maptech for the area described is more than $3,600 while the same region can be covered by Navionics for $199.  Navionics today supports several PC software applications, but only one I've heard of (FUGAWI).

Of course I'm stuck with my Furuno and must buy $4,000 in CMAP chips.  Do any of you participate in the buy, sell, trade CMAP club?  Is that an option?  Does anyone have current chips they want to sell?

Thanks!  Scott

NAVNet2 will accept the new C-Map MAX cartridges which, if available for
your areas of interest, would save allot of money. Might even pay for
upgrading to "2."

I was a member of the C-Map club.  It's a good deal - $79/yr. and they
give you one free upgraded chip/yr.  Worth it to keep chips updated; you
can rotate if you have more than one chip.  Their rent-a-chip program is
really good too.  Check out their website.

I have no affiliation w/C-Map
