NOW Art is working with Walmart on a community mural program as part of their store remodels. For this public art initiative, we are building a national artist directory where artists will be contacted to create culturally relevant mural projects. We want to find local or regional artists who can foster a sense of belonging for each store's visitors, customers, and associates. We are looking for artists who can create murals for the various store locations in Washington. We strongly encourage artists from all backgrounds and levels of experience to contact us. This paid project would be a great opportunity for emerging artists, or anyone interested in public art. This work will be done remotely so the ability to work digitally or translate traditional media into a high resolution is a must. Artists will not have to work on-site and can be paid up to $800 for completed commission work.
