6/30  Orange backyard
My jelly feeder is very popular- all different flavors- Catbirds with their
young, Baltimore orioles with 2 juveniles, Mockingbird with a juvenile ,
and a squirrel which somehow manages to climb above the baffle and enjoys
the jelly-.
My thistle feeder has about 6 Goldfinches but now the House sparrows have
decided that they like the thistle.
The Red bellied woodpeckers have juveniles, as well as the Grackles,
Cowbirds, Starlings, Song sparrow, a chipping sparrow on occasion,
Cardinals, Blue jays, House finches and
Downies & a Hairy Woodpecker.
As an aside....My daughter gave me Amy Tan's newest book  Backyard Bird
Chronicles
.  Reading it is like chatting with one of your birding
buddies- it's a light, easy read and her illustrations are beautiful.
