Invitation to Frequency Measurement Test

Hi All --

At the MVUS meeting last week we briefly talked about the ARRL Frequency
Measuring Test scheduled for Wednesday evening, November 17.

Last year, we ran the world's first "multi-multi" FMT from my basement.
We even had a rover station as Tom fired up his spectrum analyzer in
the back of his car on the way home from Detroit.

Wanna do it again?  You don't need a lot of fancy equipment -- just a
receiver as probably some audio analyzer software running on a laptop
will let you do a good job.  I'll provide a couple of antennas with
multicouplers and several sources of precise reference frequencies.  We
could support at least four or five operators if Tom comes through with
a portable table.

We'll probably have a get-together on the weekend before for you to set
up and test your gear -- whether we do that Saturday or Sunday (or both)
will be open to group vote.

If you don't want to bring gear along, you're still welcome to show up
at either the prelims or the actual event to see what's going on.

If you're interested, please let me know so I can plan for enough
chairs, bench space, and outlets.

73,
John
