Meet others interested in the environment, conservation, and sustainability
at the next Tacoma Green Drinks on Thursday, October 2, from 5:30-8:00 pm.
This month we'll celebrate our first anniversary by returning to where we
first joined ranks--The Spar, 2121 N. 30th Street, in Tacoma's Old Town (
www.the-spar.com). Hope to see you there!
Our October sponsor is Pierce Conservation Voters. Pierce Conservation
Voters is a chapter of Washington Conservation Voters and works to support
environmentally responsible elected officials and candidates for public
office to ensure Pierce County is a healthy and safe place to live. Pierce
Conservation Voters' grassroots efforts seek to strengthen laws that
safeguard the health of our community, the beauty of our region and our
economic future. Find out more at www.wcvoters.org.
With less than six weeks until Election Day, Conservation Voters reports
they are working hard to elect their endorsed candidates on the November 4th
ballot. Check out the complete list of local and statewide endorsements.
According to our sponsor, "There's a lot on the line this November Election.
And Pierce County is the battleground for many of the most important races
for the environment. In the race for Governor, there is a stark difference
between the candidates on all environmental issues." They encourage us to
sign up today to help get the word out about Governor Gregoire's commitment
to the environment.
