[cid:1e760037-00ac-4d63-8e3c-2745fd05651d] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 2025 Timothy Campbell timothyc@downtownonthego.org Downtown On the Go Presents: South Tacoma in Focus – Voices from the Neighborhood Tacoma, WA – Downtown On the Go (DOTG) is wrapping up its 2025 Walk Tacoma series with a powerful and community-centered event highlighting the people, places, and stories of South Tacoma. South Tacoma in Focus: Voices from the Neighborhood will take place on Wednesday, August 13, from 6:00–7:30 PM, starting in South Park (5019 S Puget Sound Ave) and ending with a community social at the Tacoma Night Market (3612 S 54th Street). This 1-mile walk invites participants to explore the vibrant South Tacoma Way Business District through the voices of local leaders, cultural advocates, small business owners, and residents. Speakers will share personal perspectives on the neighborhood’s rich history, challenges, and the opportunities shaping its future. Following the walk, attendees are invited to gather at Tacoma Night Market for light refreshments and a chance to continue conversations sparked along the route.
