Just got a call that my two 8d batteries are shot. The boat is in Palm Beach Gardens , FL. Trojan was mentioned as a possible brand for replacement. Their website looks good. Anyone have any comments about Trojan. I was thinking about Interstate as well but maybe not readily available. Comments appreciated.

Suggest two T105 trogen 6 volt golf cart batteries in series to replace each 8D. 1) each is much lighter 2) total amp hours is greater than an 8D ( I use paperback books to ship these smaller batteries in the box). Jon.

I have no problems with Trojans and my boat is in charter.

I have no battery monitor, so if batteries are going to be abused, this
would be the torture test.

I use Lifeline.. and have for years. Not inexpensive but did get eight years
out of the last ones. I order them on-line where prices are cheaper and no
sales tax and have them shipped to my marina but check shipping costs as
shipping can be pricing because of the weight.
