From all the emails on the Okeechobee, nowhere did I see mention of the Cows, or the birds, or the gators.

During our Loop in 2008 - 2009, after a return from the Dry Tortugas, we crossed the Okeechobee, and watched the birds dart amongst the cows, and started a stampede!  It was amazing, and when the cows saw us, they stopped and stared.  Want proof?  We took a video tape of it, and the video is recorded on our blog.

We anchored near the Lake, I forget where, but the location is also on our blog on googlemaps, and there was a small aligator beside the boat all night.  It was foggy, and kind of spooky.  Not sure if he was waiting for a handout (he didn't get one from us), or waiting for one of us to go swimming, but it gave us stories to tell.

I can not direct the wind, but I can adjust my sails.
