BEST WISHES for and CONGRATS on A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT!

Now that we're adapting to this new way of getting things done, we're
starting to get some athletes out there completing virtual events!  If you
recently completed your own virtual event or have one planned for this
weekend and are not included on the list below, please post a comment so
that we can send good Gator vibes and/or congrats your way as well!

EVENTS THIS WEEKEND...

• Friday, April 17, 2pmEDT - Sunday, April 19, 8pmEDT:

◦ IRONMAN VR3: This is the 3rd edition of IRONMAN's virtual race series and
it is a sprint distance duathlon (run 1 mi, bike 12 mi, run 5k) that can be
completed in pieces or all at once as long as it is in the specified
time/date range.  You can register for free on IRONMAN's website.  Sara
Dansbury, Don Mack (and maybe Josh Mack), Shawn O'Malley (3rd week in a
row!), and Doug Raab (also 3 for 3),  plans to complete the event on
Saturday.  Who else is planning to participate?

• Sunday, April 19:

◦ Coastal Delaware Running Festival Marathon: This was to be Jill Basile's
1st marathon and she is not to be denied!  She kept training through this
stay at home period and WILL complete her marathon as scheduled!  Go, Jill!

◦ MudHen 10 Miler: Sheri Kuss is planning to run the 10 miler as well as
the (typically Friday night) 5km!  Go Sheri!

• Monday, April 20:

◦ Boston Marathon: Well, it is Patriot's Day, so inspired by Jill, Don Mack
will complete a staggered (hopefully not staggering) over the course of the
day "at home Boston Marathon" with Josh Mack (his first).

RECENTLY COMPLETED EVENTS: Who's missing?

• Sunday, March 22: Fallen Comrades Half Marathon: Holly Beauchamp got us
started with this event that typically takes place at West Point, NY, home
of the US Military Academy (attended by Hunter Beauchamp)!

• Saturday, March 28: 5KO: Many of us ran a 5km in honor of Kristen Oswald
on her birthday in this event organized by Tiff Pfluger.  According to our
"event" the following participated (and if you are listed and were not able
to get it done on March 28, no need to report back, just do it and think of
Kristen this weekend 🙂💚💙)... Tiff Catalino, Carla Acosta-Setzler, Chris
Townsley, Don Mack, Doug Raab, Chris Acosta, Jeff Moyer, Gina Stango,
Jeffrey Stango, Ruth Ann, Teresa Byrne, Jon Crosby, Pip Darling, Susan
Flavin, Cindy Kelecic, Deb Rocco, Kristin Kozera, Brian Kozera, Keith Ho,
Robin Liebman, Angela Epelbaum, Joe DeNicola, Beth Wysoczanski, Linda
VanOcker, Sheri Kuss, Logan Washburn, Joyce Williams, Sean Lodge, and Gregg

completing the Half IRONMAN distance event that included a 5 km run, 56 mi
bike, and half marathon run!

• Saturday, April 4: Hot Chocolate 15K/5K: Jessica Felix Celestin, Sheri
Kuss  Als Mac Doyle, and Jaydan Maree completed the 15K event and Beth
Kramer did the 5K, her first race!  And hopefully everyone got their
chocolate fix as well!

• Sunday, April 5: Cherry Blossom 10 Mile: Angela Epelbaum completed this
event that she had trained so hard for and had wanted to do for so long!

• Friday, April 10 - Sunday, April 12: IRONMAN VR2: Shawn O'Malley, Doug

continue... So lots of opportunities for you to "race" even in our current
