Another lovely day on the Erie Canal!  Pulled into Canajoharie, just below
Lock 14 ... real hot day today, so once in port, a nap was indicated.

And then I was awoken by my dear friend Cindy who was working the lock
today, and came by for a visit.

She and I go back a long way ... and she is an extremely dangerous woman.
Every time we get together, disaster is sure to strike! I was at her lock
one time when a tornado struck, my 12 ton boat tried to climb the pier, my
bicycle went into orbit and 20 ancient trees along the pier were ripped
out. Another time we had a big flood there. And then there was the time a
sailboat raised their mast and ripped out the high tension wires and the
whole place was dark and the lock was dead. I even have a detention slip
she wrote me on my birthday years ago.

Always great to see an old friend.
