NATURE OF WORK
This position involves creative, engaging and diverse work in the area of environmental education. An employee in this position is responsible for presenting education in the areas of water, waste management, and pollution prevention to children and adults. Other responsibilities include developing and promoting educational programs and materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedule and conduct classroom presentations and workshops for schools and other organizations.
- Respond to requests for educational resources, participation in community events, and information.
- Research, develop, and present educational programs and implement action projects on environmental topics related to solid waste, water, and pollution prevention.
RECRUITING REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from a four year college or university with major course work in environmental science, education, public administration, marketing or related field AND two or more years of experience working in an integrated environmental management program with specific experience conducting presentations, workshops, and outdoor education in the environmental field.
The pay range is $26.46 to $33.53 per hour. This is full-time, 40-hr per week position that is eligible for overtime.
