Be aware of our kids!

ALL DRIVERS:

There have been 2 driving occurrences this month that could of been deadly/hurtful to our elementary aged kids. Anyone driving through our neighborhood, ESPECIALLY AT SCHOOL BUS TIMES, need to SLOW DOWN! Last week a white suv came speeding around the corner of Limestone Pass as the bus was parked, and kids were walking across the street to get on it. They didn’t stop! I had to pull my son back from the curb and he nearly got run over. Another instance happened at drop off this Monday afternoon. A different white suv disregarded the bus parked, lights flashing, and 6 kids exiting the bus and crossing the street! They all, again, we’re almost hit! This is UNACCEPTABLE! IF YOU SEE A BUS, slow down and STOP!!! I know I won’t be the only parent to go after someone if a kid gets hurt. Parents, pass this along to your teenage drivers and remind yourselves to be aware!!!!

The bus driver was extremely upset this morning about it and also wanted to pass this reminder along.

i’ve been wanting a wifi camera installed at that location so we can record these infractions.  There are wifi IP cameras with cloud storage capability and we can just get an ISP to also provide a park wifi connection with private SSID controlled access with password for each household.  Yes a bit of administration but can be done.  This would also help to connect online for music and movie nights in the park when media is required for events.  Just a thought.
