A blast from the past

Hi all,

I was thinking about the past just now, and decided to check
whether or not the company that had republished the entire
*Carl & Jerry *series (from Popular Electronics magazine) was
still active.  Apparently it is.  I bought the whole enchilada
back around 2008 or 2009, have read it all a couple of times,
and still enjoy it.

See:    http://www.copperwood.com/carlandjerry.htm

Enjoy,

Dana

That series was written by Johnny Frye, W9EGV.  I used to talk to Johnny on
75 meter AM every day on the Indian Phone /net when I was a teenager in
1958.

I’ve got the whole set of four books if anyone wishes to borrow them. They really are cool stories and some of the stuff they did is impressive even today.

This discussion has nothing to do with MVUS VHF or higher bands. Please
keep it on the other list.

John and I are already getting complaints about non VHF discussions on the
MVUS list. Plus not everyone on the other list is on the MVUS list. Please
only discuss on the lwtg list.

Hi Jim...
Several of those stories did involve vhf activities, and I suspect there are those on the MVUS list who, like me, remember reading those stories and being inspired by them.
