*About Renee Hazen: *
In 2017 I made a New Year’s resolution to paint. I picked up some acrylics
and decided to give them a try. I fell in love with using vibrant color and
working with paint. I gravitated towards painting animals and the challenge
of capturing their spirit.
In October of 2017 I took the big leap and left my corporate job of 20
years and decided to pursue art full time. I started with a single painting
of a cow and now have over 22 animals in my collection. To share my work,
I’ve translated each original painting to cards, magnets, and prints, and
sewn them into pillows. I hope my creations bring you as much joy as
they’ve brought to me.
Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital <https://www.metvetpets.com/> is excited
to combine several of our passions: the Arts, community, and youth
development. Since Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital opened its doors, we
have demonstrated a commitment to the local Arts community through
thoughtfully curated shows.
