harbor history museum Presents
history rocks! online auction

[cid:image003.jpg@01D67BCC.646517E0]                                            September 17th - 19th 2020
Gig Harbor, WA - Harbor History Museum is excited to host their first ever virtual, online fundraising auction. Because of Covid-19, the Museum has had to embrace digital programming, including the much-loved annual auction.

"One of the really great aspects of going online," said the Museum's Director, Stephanie Lile. "Is that everyone with online access can participate. We're not limited by ticket prices, room capacity, or geography."

The auction opens at 8am on September 17th and stays open until after the "live" portion on September 19th. The Virtual Doors open at 6:30pm on Saturday the 19th for an auction intro and cocktail mini-histories generously provided by ArtBites. The "live" action starts at 7 pm.

"We're thrilled and honored to have such generous donors step up to support the Museum's auction during this challenging time," said Lile, "They've provided incredible collectibles, gorgeous hand-made art and goods, and wonderful nearby adventures."

As the Museum looks back at 10 years in their current building, they'll also provide a peek into the future at the surprises in store for the next decade. In this time of program pivots from in-person to virtual, the Museum staff has had to reinvent programming that can be delivered safely in this time of COVID-19. Auction proceeds support new educational outreach programming for schools and at-home learners. Auction items include an amazing fishing trip for 2 to Alaska and a ride on a working tugboat! Registration for bidders is now open. Go to: https://harborhistorymuseum.ejoinme.org/HistoryRocks2020. Once you register, you can take a sneak peek at the growing list of auction items.
