PROS
CONS
The above comes from a feature in the current issue of Motor
Boating. For the full article, go

The cons mentioned were exactly what prospective
clients aired when visiting our previous FB 430 and
FB 460 models, and this made me really think.

We then spent 2 years building new moulds once the designer
Lavranos and engineers High Modulus completed their
study plans.

We came up with the Aventure  FB 50.

Beam 15.65ft (4.80m) therefore a normal monohull dockage
We have our standard double berths starting on the
centre line, with 3 foot headroom above the mattress
therefore none of the cabins are tucked away.

We have  6 foot headroom in the engine room.
Separate galley saloon, separate pilothouse, sofa.

We designed in skegs, not only in the event that you
can beach the boat but really to stop the boat moving
sideways when anchoring, the large full length skegs digs in
when the wind is side-on and the boat does not move.

We built the moulds all with concave and convex panels,
therefore trying to take our the ugly flat box look you find on
cats.

Happily Lavranos (ex designer Sparkman Stephens) did a
great job, no sneezing, no wet FB, no banging of waves on
the side of the hull when anchored in a marina.

Therefore we believe we have solved many of the complaints
by potential clients.
