Census Bureau Releases “Computer and Internet Use in the United States:
2016”
The Census Bureau yesterday (August 8) released “Computer and Internet Use
in the United States: 2016
https://www.census.gov/content/census/en/library/publications/2018/acs/acs-39.html”
that examines access to computers and broadband internet subscriptions
nationwide. Differences can be seen by demographic, social and geographic
characteristics across the digital divide between those who have and those
who lack access to computers and the internet.
This report examines key trends and characteristics of computer and
Internet use using data derived from the CPS (historical context) and ACS
(characteristics that are more current).
The contact for the report is Camille Ryan camille.l.ryan@census.gov
