Linda & I visited Milford Point today (5/20,
3:00-5:15pm) at a very high tide (new moon), and saw
the following highlights:
400+ Brant - mostly feeding in the marsh; able to
estimate when jet skiers flushed them
12 American Oystercatchers (3 pairs on bars, plus
flock of 6 flying by)
1 Laughing Gull
1 Merlin (a late individual flushed the birds on the
sandbars)
4 Red breasted mergansers
12 species of shorebirds
