Virtual Heritage Café Series Kicks Off First of Five Presentations September 17

The City of Tacoma’s Historic Preservation Office has partnered with Historic Tacoma and Tacoma Historical Society to bring the community a Third Thursday series of historic preservation focused conversations.

The first event in the series is a presentation by Lawrence Kreisman as he shares the rich history of the Arts and Crafts movement in Washington and Oregon at 6 PM September 17 on zoom.

"This year, we are excited to adapt to the historic times we are in to bring a virtual event series of conversations focused on historic preservation," said Lauren Hoogkamer, Assistant Historic Preservation Officer. "We have a phenomenal lineup of speakers that represent diverse communities in Tacoma’s heritage and historic preservation community."

The events will be at 6 p.m. on zoom and include:
